Teppei Ono, who lives in 450m high of the mountain in Kochi Prefecture. He has a kiln and making pottery there. Loose shaped big plates, warm fuzzy feeling of rice bowl, tea cup that can serve plenty of hot water. These are just daily items in your ordinal life, but they will be more and more bautiful by you use them everyday.
Yumi Hayakawa, she is a wife of Teppei, had traveled around Asia and met hand made fabrics, hilltribe costumes. It pushed her to start fabric works after that. Her works are delicately hand-made, just like setting seeds, or makeing foods for her family. They bring you a feeling of good and old time.
Both workds have “sign of hand-work”. Isn’t this what we really demanding now?
