Mr. TAKESHI-KUN solo exhibition "Uncertain precision"

Megumi-san

When I was in the university, I was keen on "hyper-realism" or arts like "Gerhard Richter". So often I painted studies of them. Soon later I shifted to use air brush to kill my own drawing character and texture on surface.

The process of my recent production is, I look at a photo and enlarge it with my eyes on canvas by drawing. I believe that my drawings get different impression from just printingly enlarged picture, by passing through myself as a filter,

Copying closely of the original photo printing by using air brush, which leaves no characteristic texture on its surface, is apparently recognized to be inconvenience. But in backwards, it rather has a possiblity to fixate my character on its surface in proper way. Even more, photo and air brush already became indispensable materials to extract my originality, which I can think worth to express. Now I think photography, air brush and myself as the whole system to produce my drawing. And decided to change my artist name from "Takashi Nagase" to "Mr.TAKESHI-KUN".

I hope you get something from the works by "Mr.TAKESHI-KUN".

Teppei Ono / Yumi Hayakawa "tablewares and clothes"

Teppei Ono / Yumi Hayakawa

This exhibition presented tabledishes and fabrics for daily life made by hands of Teppei Ono and Yumi Hayakawa, who's got married together.

Teppei Ono makes his works at his studio with fire-wood kiln located in a moutain with the altitude of 450m, Kochi prefecture. All what he makes are just simple for daily use, but get more beautiful by we use everyday .

Yumi Hayakawa started her carrer after she met hand yarned, hand woven fabrics of folk costume during her travel at mountains of Asian countries. She makes just like her daily jobs like making foods for her family, sowing seeds. Maybe so, I feel nostalgy when I wear her clothes or accessories.

The common point between their works is "trace of hands". Hope you found their beautiful "signs"
