“Sekki-ten” by Tomomi Mizutani

The pottery which is burned in high temperture without glazing, is called “Yaki-shime”. And so it’s categorized as “Sekki” to apart from potteries and porcelains.
Flame make various effect on the surface of “Sekki”, the most impressive point of it.
Tomomi Mizutani makes very unique “Sekki”. It’s even looks like already antiques since it came out from a kiln.
Human being’s habitats which has been continued since ancient age.
She wish to shape the memory of human life that is stored in our body and tools.
And want to get it back into our life of today…
Her works have such misterious power to let us imagine such story.
You might remember human-being’s remote memory in our body.
